Underfloor heating

Introduction

This feature has been incorporated into our daily life in a subtle way, until it became common usage. We consider two types of plants:

Underfloor heating with heat (water / antifreeze)
Electric underfloor heating or heating wire or foil November 1st only recommend either small areas.
Underfloor heating with heat (water).

Definition of water pipe in the floor is:

Floor heating consists of a pipe incorporated in the layer of mortar which runs on the entire surface of the spaces to be heated. This pipeline goes hot water (at a relatively low temperature to other heating systems), usually caused by a boiler or heat pump. Pardoseliil piped water transfers heat and floors, in turn transfers heat to the building environment.

Underfloor heating works with any element that produces heat, such as gas boilers, heat pumps, electric batteries and solar collector system. Soil material is important to properly transmit heat radiation so they remain most common in soils are based ceramic, parquet, marble, carpet, linoleum and plastics.

All this information is summarized in a conversational way, that this system is very similar to heating radiators boiler, we know so far. In this case, the radiators are not such as the soil through tubes in which water circulates.

Benefits

Underfloor heating system requires a high economy (20% -40%) comparing with other forms of conventional heating due to the working temperature (35-45ºC-floor heating, radiators-70-75ºC)
Space saving, avoid objects that occupy space, such as radiators in rooms where they are.
Energy saving, this system consumes less energy than conventional heating.
Optimal comfort and uniform because all nights heated evenly, following the adage "hot feet, cool head."
Organic. Given the low temperature required, installing floor heating can be combined with renewable energy at low temperatures, such as solar and geothermal energy, reducing fossil fuel consumption.
Healthy. Low humidity level reached avoids mites and development of allergy. Thanks to a lack of air circulation in the room, significantly reduces the amount of dust and dry air NOT
Thanks to a heat pump can use the same system to cool the soil in summer.
Evenly distributed heat

disadvantages

Installation requires a high initial investment, since heating in pardosealacosta little more than other systems, but the investment pays off in the short term.
Thickness. This system requires a thick soil for proper installation. We must take into account the total height of the room, 8-10 cm.
By using lower water temperatures for heating, while heating of the house is higher than with a traditional system, so the speed of heating imobilullui can be a disadvantage.
It can not be used in spaces with floor insufiicent free or used in combination with radiators. If such a room be furniture or objects occupying over 40% of subframe floor (bathroom is a good example, usually about 50% of the available floor heating) are required additional mandatory static bodies (radiators).
The building exterior insulation required for this system to be effective.

maintained

While deposits accumulate in intriorul underfloor heating pipes, and this requires an inspection or a thermal imager or through other detection methods.
Underfloor heating system cleaning is executed by chemical washing using a special pump that if the process is done correctly, efficiency and prolongs the life of the plant and its components.

adjustments installations

For optimal thermal performance, it is necessary to pay attention to various aspects in the construction phase. Structure of underfloor heating works on the premise of thermal inertia, heat is delivered on the ground.
Heating a floor heating system involves raising the temperature of a plate with large heat capacity capable of storing large amounts of energy. This energy is delivered instantly, so the thickness and quality of the mortar is important. UNE-EN 1264-4 specifies requirements for the design and construction of systems of soil structure heated with hot water to ensure that the heating system underneath is suitable. The input data are those which are defined design criteria and calculations are made for choosing system components.

The temperature difference between flow and return pipes, according to standard
UNE-EN 1264 should be between 0 ° C and 5 ° C higher values are used in practice,
can be between 5 ° C and 10 ° C Recommended value is 7 to 8 ° C
• emitting tube diameter. The most common are mm, diameter 16 and 20 mm. Materials commonly used are
PE-X multilayer or polybutylene (PB)

Raise dust underfloor heating?

Heating by radiant surfaces is composed of 98% and 2% transmission radiation transmission microconvectie, which appears on the surface finish (floor) .To be able to compare the radiator where heat transfer is 20% by radiation and 80% convection or mainframe systems ventilation where we have 100% 0% radiation and convection, we can get an idea of heating systems and the risk of raising or dust.
Underfloor heating has the lowest exposure in terms of dust.

Because the surface finish is warm garde 25-27 ºC (thermal comfort), many users opt for keeping carpets or rugs finisalului uncovered. This reduces storage areas and creation of house dust (known to people, textiles, and pets are the largest sources of household dust generation).
If the finished floor surface is not covered with carpets or rugs, including permit easy cleaning process, being possible to delete finish with a damp cloth, which collects dust and it does not spread or move from one place to another. It is recommended where are residents with respiratory problems, allergies, or asthma. Regarding the location of the heating system in the floor under furniture, in case of a system with heat, the only areas in which it is not recommended installing pipes are the subseminee, bathtub or shower and under sanitary which rests on the floor (WC and bidet). In this type of heating in the area where we finish above a body of furniture, creates a buffer zone of hot air with a temperature equal to the finish, and thus no longer appears on transfers. Hot water will go ahead and give warmth in areas where there is a difference in temperature between the finish and the air above it. If you later change the location of furniture, areas that were liabilities furniture can become active are free, and other areas that until then warmed the room can become passive areas covered by furniture. Thus the entire floor surface which is free, can give the room warmth.
